Nathan Friedly and I used to work together as web developers. He eventually returned to school, married and moved out of the area. He came to me with help designing a logo and theme for his online portfolio and website. He left most of the decisions up to me and, having worked with him for several years, I knew that he preferred clean, simple and typography-based design.
I made a few mock-ups of potential logos and once he picked, the rest was simple. I also designed a business card for him that closely resembles the header of this website.
